Mike Huckabee continues to shine as the Christian conservative candidate

And the winner of last night’s debate (at least among Christian conservative voters) is again Mike Huckabee.

Last night’s Republican Presidential debate in Florida was again an interesting one and moved into questions on the bible and faith which is a hot topic at recent Republican debates. One voter asked if the candidates believed every word of the Bible. Rudy Giuliani essentially stumbled towards a position that while the Bible was his favourite book, he did not literally believe in the story of Jonah and the whale as one example he proposed. Another voter asked whether Jesus would support the death penalty. Mike Huckabee who is now in first place in a recent Iowa poll stated that the death penalty was painful but necessary. Mr. Huckabee is the most outstanding conservative Christian supporter wooing Christian voters and has surged recently to the top in the overall Republican polls. When pressed whether Jesus would be in favour, he got a laugh saying Jesus was too smart to run for office!

This race is getting quite interesting!
